Just a lapsed cyclist who is trying to climb back on the bike.

Bought my first serious bike Mercier in 1979 and rode on and off for years. After a back strain, I couldn't ride till I took up Yoga about 4 years ago. The Mercier was just a memory hanging in the garage so I bought the Miele Hybrid. Now it's an occasional evening and weekend ride trying to get in 1000kms before it snows. I had been riding for a full century (miles) having done a metric century here in the city one Saturday in July on the Miele. Then a mild case of heat stress kept me cautious and off the bike till September. I still have 250km to me what I thought was an easy 1000km year. And a couple of warm weekends will see that Century as a possiblity.

The Mercier is slowly being restored but with some Campy bling!

Good Morning DEK & 10 Wheels,

I'm glad to be a member and no I don't have any photos yet. This weekend was good for rides; 35km Saturday afternoon while I wanted to try for that century on Sunday, it was not to be. 110km in the city as I did my longest route twice. An honest self appraisal would be that I don't know enough about riding nutrition to pull it off yet. Time to hit the books!

Take Care,
Iain
