I was browsing the Lee Cougan website and looked at their Duel AL (http://www.leecougan.com/eng/products_scheda.php?itemid=179§ionid=7) model. It's supposed to have a 7005 Kinesium SuperLight double butted aluminum frame. I did a search on the Kinesium frame (I know about Kinesis but not that frame) and came across this site (http://www.pictoncycles.co.uk/kinesium.htm) that says the following:

Now I'm a little confused. The article says the Kinesium frame is based on 6061 but with more titanium so it has more strength then 7005, however the bike on the site is described as "7005 Kinesium SuperLight double butted". So I went to this Kinesis page (http://www.kinesis.com.tw/products_buttedtubes_all.htm) which mentions Kinesium (6061) and Kinesis Superlight (7005) as two different frame materials. And they also have a "Regular double butted" frame which is 7005/6061. So now I don't really know which frame the Lee Cougan has. I assume it's the 7005 Superlight because the Kinesium 6061/Ti seems a little expensive for a bike that costs 830 Euro and the 7005 seems more in-line with the price/value ratio of the Lee Cougan brand anyway (which I heard is very good).

Anyway, my questions are:
How does the Kinesium frame compare with Easton's Scandium frame (as far as price/value)?
How does the 7005 SuperLight frame compare to other frames like Trek's ZR9000 and Giant XTC?
Lastly, is anyone here familiar with Lee Cougan MTB's? If so, please post your findings.
