Stumbled onto these bike hub caps US Patent 1675431. Sorry folks, they only come in models for mounting on nutted axles (no quick release version known). Anyone got a guess on age? http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj311/rababikes/DSC_0580.jpg
I have a pair each with a disc that mounts behind the axle nut, then the hubcap clips on to that disk covering the nut. Aerodynamic too. Tom
