I recently saw a late 90s Ti bike with a "Made in the USA by Litespeed" decal. Otherwise, it had all American Classic badging. It had curved seat stays like a Tuscany, but was satin finished (not typical of Tuscany). Does anyone know if Litespeed sold stock Litespeed frames to other companies? Or did they make different frame geometries for these companies buying frames to have a Ti bike in their line-up?

Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide!

If I remember correctly, they were stock Litespeed models that used staight guage ti, instead of butted.

Actually, if it is the Litespeed Classic, it was DB.

Thanks all! At least I know a little bit more now. It's been tough trying to find information about these frames.

I know they built some to spec for other companies, not sure what the deal is with this American Classic though. My Merckx was built by Litespeed but has EM 'Century' geometry and an Italian BB.
