Foo - Second pillow

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I am not sure what my wife's obsession is with gifting me with a second pillow is. If I ever did need a second pillow, such as to prop myself up for reading in bed, and this was a current and pressing need, I could understand finding this second pillow as a gift of need.
As my current needs of the year 2011, 2010 and 2009 have shown, the infrequency of this need would preclude the making up of the bed with said redundant pillow on every occasion, yet, there it is. No matter where I place it, on the floor, stuffed under the sheets on "her" side of the bed or thrown violently into the street...there it is again.
Is this some passive/aggressive action akin to her leaving the bagged garbage in the middle of the kitchen floor rather than placing it in the cans outside the shop alongside the separated recyclable goods?

I can't sympathize with your situation. I need 3 pillows.

Beds look better with two (or if you believe a lot of department store displays, seventeen) pillows.
Plus the second pillow is her way of telling you to take out the goddamn trash already
Why doesn't she just put the trashbag on my single pillow?
Heck, if she's going to that much effort, she may as well just take it out herself.

Maybe she's trying to tell you that you snore and trying to prop you up higher so you are less likely to snore.
My second pillow serves as a support for my shoulder. I've dislocated it several times and it slips out pretty easily. Being a side sleeper, I put the pillow under my shoulder and it helps hold it in place.
Where is your other hand?

I may snore, but she certainly does, like a chainsaw.
Hmmm...maybe the second pillow is to be placed over her head...

Wordbiker, do both yourselves a favour and sign her up for a sleep clinic/apena test. You may get to keep her sleeping beside you longer while you get a peaceful night of sleep. And even though you don't think so maybe you guys have a chainsaw duet going at night.

Word, Word, Word. I see that I have to be the one to edumacate you on this. Your wife is sending you a hint. The second pillow is so that you can make your own home-made Liberator. See http://www.liberator.com/ for details and ideas. You can thank me later.

Making her sleep in the guest room sounds much cheaper.

Do you have names for each one?

I keep two pillows on my queen size bed. When I got married the last time, it multiplied to four pillows and a body pillow. Blah. Now that she's moved out, I'm back to two pillows. :)
Do you have names for each one?
buck weed, memory foam, chicken feather, body and pos from ikea.
Pillow quantity is inversely proportional to relationship bliss. I have two "washcloth" pillows, therefore I am living the high life.

Yeah, like anyone else sees the bed. Sheesh.

Does the love doll keep putting the second pillow back, no matter how many times you fling it to the floor?
Get a sharpie and some stick on googly eyes and make yourself a pillow pet.

I got no answer for you Word. Women do stuff sometimes that makes no sense (unless you have a lot of estrogen, in which case you might think it makes sense).
