Fairly regular poster in commuting, touring, and clydes here. First time posting in this section, since I found out recently I'll be a dad come April! :)
As someone who commutes by bike every day, rides occasionally on weekends, and has done some limited (so far) bike touring, I've naturally been dreaming about riding around on my bike with the kid (once (s)he can sit up properly amd hold its head up with a helmet on, of course).
I really like the looks of the iBert and have seen lots of people using them around here. My problem is I only have (and only have room for) one bike, my beloved Surly LHT. My Surly LHT is set up with butterfly trekking bars. I'm worried that the design of the handlebars will make it difficult, if not impossible to use the iBert.
Anyone had any experience with an iBert on a bike with trekking bars? I'm hoping to include some of these items in our baby registry, which is why I'm asking so far in advance.
On a related note, anyone had experience with the WeeRide Kangaroo seat, particularly with trekking bars, or perhaps even with any bike/setup where you're not upright? I've read reviews from people complaining about the kid's head getting in their stomach when they're riding on a bike with a little more aggressive riding position.
