I hope this is in the right place...
If you saw my intro, i'm in the market for a "new" commuter bike. I'm looking for something that's dependable in rain and on badly paved streets, efficient though, and can carry textbooks.
This is one bike that I've had my eye on:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/bik/2615835577.html
I'm not sure how it will fit because i'm used to riding a 53 cm road bike (31" standover, 25" middle of seat to handlebars) even though i'm just shy of 5'2" (with a 29.5" inseam). (Also, I tried riding a 50cm road frame, and it was cramped and uncomfortable even though it fit with the standard "2 inches between crotch and top tube with feet flat on ground)
I'm also very interested in this bike which i'm still awaiting measurements and whether the wheels are steel or not.

What's your opinion on the quality and functionality of the Univega vs. the miyata?
Thanks much!
