Earlier tonight I took delivery of my long awaited San Marco Rolls saddle. After much debate of wether to get the white or brown suede I settled on the white since it was my first choice. I was aprehensive about both of them when considering their condition a few miles down the road having never owned a white saddle ( and having seeing many a haggard and worn example) or a suede saddle. Now that the white one has come and I've gotten it dirty just picking it up out of the box I am again reconsidering the suede..

Knowing both would look great here is my inquiry..
Can anyone please fill me in on how well the suede wears compared to the white leather

What's the best way of maintaining both

I know I should of done this first but with sharing an order with a buddy I got excited and had to go for it..also I have the saddle sitting next to the bike and after waiting a week and a half to get it it's damn near impossible to no throw it on and take it for a
spin!

Thanks in advance!

For some reason I feel like the suede would bleed onto clothing in the rain, and just in general wouldn't hold up as well. I don't have anything to back up these statements though.

There's more than two options.

Suede sounds kind of grippy. For what it's worth, I very strongly prefer a very slick saddle.

Yea I do think the suede would be a little grippy..After riding it for a little I think the white will stay Ill just try to keep it clean for years to come... I guess this is with anything though to make it last it must be taken care of
