Today went to my University to buy a bike and so I did - the most dirty, most classic and cheap at the same time - just for 25 GBP.
Brought it home, cleaned a bit and started to look what it is - OK - weinmann brakes- next thing - campy hubs - woo hoo - already was worth the 25 GBP. Next Titan stem ans S. Maes handlebars. And the last Suntour V-GT luxe group. So I think it was worth it even with flat tires, but I don't know what it is and maybe someone of you can tell what it is from the fancy lugwork. So here is the link:

Thanks in advance!
Kris.
I can't be much of help, but a full drive-side picture would be good to start. That being said the Suntour stuff from that era is quite decent, and while the drop out's don't look like anything too special those are some AWESOME lugs. I'm guessing you'll get some assistance from someone more knowledgeable than I

I agree, super cool lugs! No idea what it is, but I bet someone will recognize it. It obviously needs a good cleaning and refurb, but looks like it will be fun.

That is pretty vintage (1950's?) and really nice. Certainly worth the 25 quid. I've seen that seat post clamp before, but I can't remember where ...

It is a Claud Butler from the 50s. quite like this one - just with a different fork http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=141693&view=next&sid=d81c15f608da2243bb5141c77002172b
Yup. Very nice frame. Could be from the 40's. Congratulations! What's the plan for it?

probably a respray, cleaning/polishing everything. Maybe upgrading something. And just riding with a smile on my face..

+1 great idea, and nice score. Enjoy the ride, and put some photos up when it's nice and clean !

Wow, you really scored for 25 gbp. I agree, get it nicely painted and set that baby up!
How come I never find anything like that...
