Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. From my experience with the rims and IRD I would recommend that you not build with these. The customer seervice has been bad.

Any other complaints? I have 12,000 miles on a pair of Cadence VSR rims (VSR up front too because of my disc brake) and they have handled everything fine, including whatever happened that cracked my front hub.

The first rear cracked and they only gave a partial credit on a new one. The replacement has started cracking after less than 10k miles. The valve hole on the front coroded to the point that the sidewalls started to bulge. The replacement has a spot where the sidewalls are not parallel and it makes the front brake chatter.
They no longer answer my e-mails,

They have since changed the person who handles complaints and have replaced my rims. We will see how long this set lasts.
I thought since I complained here I should give them the benefit of the doubt here.

Good move. If complaints are registered here, corrections should be too. I hope your experience remains positive.

Which rim specifically is cracking on you?

The rear Cadence rim. The first front replacement's sides were not parallel and caused the front to shudder when the brakes were applied.

Those are extremely light rims (Kin-Lin XR200), and I've seen cracking on much heavier ones (Open Pros, DT Swiss R1.1, and Bontragers galore). 10,000 miles is not necessarily a bad lifespan for a 375-gram economy clincher rim. Especially in the rear.
If you buy more, you might want to just get them from bikehubstore.com for $38 instead of IRD.

KinLin (X KeyMet) XR-19W modified...not XR-200. XR-200 uses a more angular profile.

IRD is a brand name bought by Merry Sales of So. SF, another bike/ parts importing wholesaler
direct your product issues thru them , for possible resolution.
C'mon, davidad, you think you deserve a new rim after 10,000 miles? As Keith Bontrager is said to have opined, "Strong. Light. Cheap., Pick two". And "valve hole corrsion?". So maybe Mr. Bontrager should have also mentioned that whichever two you pick, be sure and keep it clean too.
PS: Read the book "Cheap" by Shell and rethink all this.

Less than 10k and how clean should they be compared with my other wheels?
