I was unsure where to post this so I took a shot posting here because I think its an older mountain bike frame, if this is the wrong place let me know and I can move it or maybe a mod could move it if need be.

it is aluminum and there are no markings on it anywhere besides the "TC" on the dropout, there is not a hanger on the other side. I have no idea if the frame was this color from the factory or if someone painted it.

worth keeping? scrap it?

any ideas? Thanks!

Stays look like 90s Cannondale M700 or M800 (?). Will try to dig up more info.

(Search hint - - since so many early-mid-'90s MTBs were NOT aluminum, I googled 'early aluminum mountain bikes' in the google image search and saw a frame with that type of dropouts)

Example: '93 M700:

The seatstay bracket/bridge thingy is identical, and if memory serves, it's a Cannondale thing.

Thanks for putting me on the right track!

I have been going through the Cannondale catalogs http://www.vintagecannondale.com/catalog.html I am thinking maybe a 1991 SM400 because it has a 28-38-48 Sugino crank on it but I don't know. going off of the measurements between the holes for the rear derailleur hanger puts it at 1991 or later so thats for the SM400 but going off of the how the frames look (crimped stays unless I am just missing them in the photos I found) it looks like a pre 91? either way I don't suppose it matters too much anymore as I can get a hanger for it if I want to now :)

and just some more info it has a steel fork which seems to click (I say click its not really a click) just sort aligns itself straight and well... clicks into that straight position.

Thanks for the input guys, much appreciated.
