Classic & Vintage - Help identifying year/any info on this old Norco Beretta

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hey guys I picked this bike up at a garage sale for free. Bought a new rear rim and tires all around - it rides amazingly! Everything else is as I got it. Here are some pics, and some info I picked up off the bike. I'm looking for any info at all on the bike. I think it's a Frankenstein bike, but I may be mistaken.

The only stamped number I could find on the frame (it was underneath the brake cable and shifter cable guide on the bottom tube where the crankset goes through): SC802241
Shimano Tourney Brakes front and rear
Changistar Brake Levers
Sr Roots right cable shifter
Shimano left cable shifter
Thunder Bird 2 front derailleur
Eagle 2 rear derailleur

Any help would be awesome!

Have a look through How Old Is My Bike? (http://www.mytenspeeds.com/My_TenSpeeds_1/FREE_SITE_VINTAGE/VINTAGE_1_Start.htm), paying closest attention to Component Numbers, and you should come pretty darn close to nailing the vintage.

In the picture below, it is the WE that will help identify vintage...

Hope this is a help.

Back side of the front derailleur. Look through the page on components I suggested. There are date codes on many components and all, considered together, will point to the vintage of the bicycle.
