Hey there,
I am new to this website and forums in general, this will be my first experience with them.
I recently moved to Pittsburgh, PA and found out about the culture of biking and fell in love with everything about it. I have biked my whole life but I would say it was more casual and had never actually rode on a road bicycle before moving here. I love it and would say that of all the many types of bikes out there Road bikes are my favorite! I love riding in the city and connected with a great local organization here in PGH called Free Ride, http://freeridepgh.org/ There I learned more about bikes than I ever thought I would know and I used that knowledge to rebuild and restore an 1980s Schwinn Sports Tourer. It's my baby!! Bikes have become an addiction I am already thinking of my next one and I wanted to find a place where I could stay connected with others who love bikes, trading knowledge and experience, and where I can be involved with bikes when I can't be out on the road. Well I hope that gives you a slight idea of who I am so if you'd like to have a discussion get at me I would love to talk about BIKES!!!! haha
