Foo - Sedona to Las Vegas tips?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Hey, Foo
I've got to be in Sedona, AZ next Wednesday, October 12 -- and then I have a flight leaving Las Vegas at 8:00 a.m. the next morning, October 13. I'll be catching a ride with a group of people from Las Vegas to Sedona, but have to get back to Vegas on my own. I've reserved a car in Sedona to drop off at the airport in Vegas, but it's around 160 bucks for a one-way trip.
So -- are there any clever local tips for getting from Sedona to Las Vegas for less than $160? I've checked flights from Flagstaff, but the timing is all wrong. Greyhound schedules aren't great either.
Thanks in advance!
 Not quite so bad as that -- we'll be in Sedona for a few days before, and I'm going on to Ottawa rather than heading straight back to China. Although, frankly, it takes about as long to get from Las Vegas to Ottawa (via Dulles) as it would to fly back to Shanghai.
Actually, the last time I was in Canada my dad and I drove to from Vancouver to Calgary (11 hours) to pick up a piece of furniture from my aunt, spent the night there and drove back to Vancouver the next day. It was a fun excursion, but wouldn't want to do that often.

First, Avoid coming into town on Sunday afternoon. You will spend half an hour to forty five minutes inching along the last mile.
Unfortunately, your rental car deal is probably the best thing you're going to get.
We do have an airport, but the flights are of the "Look at the rocks and piss off the locals" type, not the "land elsewhere" type.
The shuttles all go south.
Bring a camera, it is pretty around here, but as far as getting in and out of town, no one has given it much thought. Sorry.

I have no suggestions for OP, other than to point out that when I drove from Sedona to Las Vegas in 1998, I was amazed out how much nothing there was between those two cites.

No info about your question, just a comment re your Calgary trip, slow down next time, you were speeding. It's supposed to be about 13+ hours to drive there from Vancouver. You missed a lot of scenery. :D

Most of that is still there.
