so....rode the new Ibis Mojo SLR. it is the perfect blend of the SL and HD. light than the SL, almost as stiff as the HD, tapered top tube and through rear axle for super stiffness.

damn that bike rides nice. i'm a small guy, that bike turned tight and felt sooo good. i really really leaned into the turns and the bike held. i could throw that bike around with hardly any effort. i was bunny hopping with it and having a blast. it rode really really nice.

i'm kind of an easy guy to please, and i'm also a hack who doesn't really know what he is doing or what to look for. i just know what feels good and what doesn't. to me. this bike felt really really good to me.

i think so far my all time favorite bike is the rocky mountain slayer, but the SLR is a close close second. i wouldn't mind owning one.

if you mean the santa cruz tallboy, i did.

it's a great bike, very nimble, very active, very fast. it has a shorter wheelbase so you can flick it around and it will get out of control and nuts if you want it to, as compared to a gary fisher rumblefish, with a larger wheelbase, higher bottom bracket, and slacker head angle, making it more stable and sort of a "restrictor plate racing" kind of machine. the only 29ers i've ridden are the tallboy and the rumblefish. i'm not a fan of 29ers, i wouldn't ride one, but if i had to, between the two i've had actual experience with, i would go with the tallboy.

when ibis releases the ripley, i may change my mind, if the hype is anything to believe.
