I'm new and did do an intro. I saw this part and I hope I'm doing this right? I'll bite, what's it worth? I just got from a friend who claims his wife bought it new in 69. I call bull. Any thoughts on year or value? Thanks guys. Also, where would I post if I'm looking for cool bike paths near the San Fernando Valley? Thanks again

Looks a lot newer than 1969 to me, or the decals and chain guard are not original. Look up the component code on that rear derailleur to narrow it down.

That looks like a made by Giant Taiwan sticker on the chainstay.

With unicrown forks, that is no Chicago Schwinn.

1990 Cruiser 5. Depending on the market, $150 - $250. Not Chicago, but pre-1992 bankruptcy..
