It is a dramatic building, it was shortlisted for the annual architecture prize in the UK. Didn't win, as it happens.

There is more than one London velodrome and more than one London.

Reminds me of that Brittish couple a few years ago who booked a trip to Sydney, excited at what a good price they had for the plane tickets - only to be shocked to land in Syndey (NS) Canada, not Sydney Australia.

Nah, there's only one London. The rest are pale imitations. I'm sure there's more than one person called Muhammad Ali, but there's only one real Muhammad Ali...

There is more than one London velodrome, though, they're in the process of refurbishing the Herne Hill velodrome in South London that hosted the cycling for the 1948 Olympics.

One is city of beer swilling drunken students and the other is a city in Europe. Oh wait, the imitation isn't so pale. :)
