My name's Esspee and I live in one of Vancouver's suburbs. I've taken up cycling since I can no longer run (ankle problem) and I'm having a hard time keeping the weight off. I've come to the realization that running was something I endured whereas cycling is something I really enjoy.

I have 2 vintage bikes. My main ride is a 92 Trek 720 multitrack mixte which I bought brand new. I have it fitted with panniers, a Brooks B18 saddle and a really cool Reisenthel basket. I use this bike for pretty much everything.

Yesterday I bought a beautiful, purple early 70's Peugeot 10 speed mixte from it's original owner. It's fab and in completely original condition. It has front and rear fenders, rat trap rack, dynamo lighting system for the front and back with both front and rear lights. I have it in at our local cycle shop being checked out, but from what they saw, apparently even the tires are still in good enough condition to ride for another couple of years. This bike is a stunner and I can't wait to get on it and figure out how to change gears with friction shifters.
