My neighbor has the back of his yard filled with ivy. It is through the fence and if I don't stop it, it will ruin my shed. It already did some outside surface damage. I need to kill it. I tried wd-40 two days ago, so far it looks OK ? ??
Can't move the shed it's attached to the garage. What will kill it?
Thanks.

Vinegar.....1/3 cup vinegar, 2/3 cup water, cap full of soap to make it stick to the leaves. Mix up in a sprayer and go to town on the stuff.
Scale it up if you need more.

A thorough application of Round-up (from Walmart or wherever) in a spray applicator that it comes in, at the base of the wall of the shed would probably kill the whole wall of ivy, if done properly. You can always cut all the tendrils that come over to your property first. Just don't get the Round-up on any other plants that you don't want to kill, because it is a mild herbicide and will kill shrubs and trees too. Be careful.
Try the vinegar first, it's cheap and organic, then if that doesn't work go to the Round-up.

Nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Or use goats. But nukes work, too.

hey, at least kudzu is edible.
RoundUp mixed with a teensy amount of BrushOff.
RoundUp is a glyphosphate. It's absorbed through the leaves, which need to be drenched, with plenty underneath the leaves, too. Mix in a few drops of detergent to act as a wetting agent or surfecant -- that is, it won't bead and run straight off the smooth, shiny surface of the leaf.

Sorry but your neighbor said it's a Geneticaly Modified Monsanto variety so, round up is not gonna do it.
However... this guy will eat it for free:

Saw my first ever deer in my neighborhood today.
I looked at a tag on the bottom of one of the ivy leaves, it says 100% polyester, made in Bangladesh. ??
But serious thanks for all the real advice.

Thanks, I'll try that. I'm amazed that wd-40 does not kill it instantly.
