BMX - John Kovachi: Where is he?! (delayed order)

I placed an order for spokes on 9/20 and have not received spokes or tracking number from this guy. I emailed him 5 times and called him 5 times. He responded to my first couple emails regarding change of address and double charges, but has not responded to any of my complaints about not having received a tracking number, etc.

I'm displeased, if you can tell. Does anyone know what's going on with him?

Did it say anywhere on the site/checkout process how long it would take to ship?

He's a respected bmx rider of the past.. and good wheel builder. I'm still waiting for a response after all emails, voicemails, etc. I added him on facebook and he accepted me, so I know he's around. It doesn't take that much to send out 36 spokes. It's almost been a month now.

Just demand your money back already. Is it that hard?

He passed away tonight after surgery, that's why he hasn't been able to get back to anyone as quickly as usual.

The sport of BMX send their thoughts and prayers to the family of famed BMX wheel builder and longtime NBL vendor JOHN KOVACHI; who passed away last night. We will miss seeing him in that familiar spot--sitting behind a Park truing stand with a spoke wrench his his hand.

I logged on to report the same. Seems strange because I heard from him on the same day I emailed him about an order change a day after my order around 9/20... Then emailed him at the end of the month and got no response. I kinda knew something wasn't right because I couldn't get a phone call either.. Then read about his past health and felt bad about displaying agitation in my emails. RIP.

Not sure when I'll get my spokes.. But honestly I'm not sure I can wait another month.

Just get them from a lbs.

that's a good point. I didn't think 13-14 spokes were very standard so I didn't bother asking in the first place.. hmm. also want them in black.

Any LBS can get you any spoke in any option you want. Especially color.
