I'm about to sell a vintage Specialized Rockhopper... just wanted some opinions on a good asking prices. Bike is tuned and ready to ride and I'm in a great bike market but I know its the end of the season.

Specialized Rockhopper 20" frame
Special Touring tubing
Suntour Thumb shifters
Mountec Rear derailleur
Nice 3 triple crankset
Old school shimano platform pedals- alloy

I'm thining $165 hope for $150?

It's really cool but unfortunately old MTBs just aren't worth much. I think your prices are realistic. Don't be surprised to settle for more like $120-$130 though. If you had a Stumpjumper obviously you'd be looking at more..

I figured as much... I do really like this bike... If the frame fit me I would keep it and make it into a winter commuter.

To give you an idea, I sold my wife's Specialized Rockhopper frameset (18") this summer for $50, after stripping the entire Deore LX group from it including the Deore LX/Specialized wheelset, all of which got transferred to another bike. Had I sold the complete bike, I probably could not have gotten $200 for it, but parted out I could have netted about $250-300.

got $140 for the vintage rockhopper... sold to a guy who collect vintage mountain bikes... so went to a good home.
