Hi All,
I still like to change a front crank set FC-M101. This a simple, square hole, 48/38/28 tooths, 170mm. I search a lot of time to change it. It is not possible to get the same.
How can I know the if the size is OK what I think to buy. (See link)When I write "size" I mean the the horizontal distance from the bike, size of the bottom bracket. (I tried one but it was 5-6 more near to the bike what was to big and also the tooth wheel was not good) I think to buy this in the link in the ebay. Is there any document that shows the sizes (measurements) of the crank set and the bottom bracket?

Thanks.

Do you want to keep the same gearing of your original crankset/chainwheel? Same crank arm length? Square taper BBs and cranksets are older tech but not hard to find. Manufacturers like Shimano usually post parts specs on their website.

Hi commo_soulja,
Thanks. i have to change the old tooth wheel and I like to have the same 48/38/28. The
bottom bracket not have change it is still good but I need the the chain wheel in the sme position. Can be that need to change also the bottom bracket. But I not find any
advise on Shimano Internet site with what part can change what parts. Also not find any measurement of any part on their Internet site what make impossible to think about. For that I ask here experienced people what I can do to change this old and simple crank set.

losi, I can't find the data you need to reply positively that the crankset you want to install will swap without any further changes. Going just by pictures I think that it will. If not your bike shop will have a bottom bracket to allow the new crankset's use.
