Electric Bikes - Can I get away with mounting my battery on a seatpost rack?

Thread title says it all. Got a 36V LiFePO4 battery, do you think a seatpost-only mounted rear rack will hold it?

I saw a nice setup somewhere that had some additional struts added that went from the front of the rack down to the seatstays for additional support. The triangulated supports will support much more weight. Wouldn't work on a FS bike though.
