Hi there,
I want to add an electric-assist to my Xtracycle longtail. My first choice would have been the Stokemonkey but it's not available (and no idea when it will be) so I've been looking at the Ecospeed and Cyclone offerings instead.
Ecospeed seems like the way to go but, man, it's expensive. Anyone have any thoughts on Cyclone's offering (which comes in at about $2k less than the Ecospeed)?
I live in South Africa so I can't really hop down to a local bike store - they'll have no idea what I'm talking about :-)
The plan is to power-up the Xtracycle and use it as my everyday transport. I live in a valley, though, so all roads lead upwards, and steeply.
Would appreciate any thoughts/advice.
Cheers and thanks,
Paul Freightrider
PS OK, read some other threads about the Cyclone. Sounds like a bit of a bitter lemon. Guess I answered my own question, then.
Anyone have a Stokemonkey they want to sell?
