Bicycle Mechanics - Relative Noob - Can I do this?

I have purchased all the parts I think I need for my front end renovation - Kestrel EMS Pro carbon fork with steel steerer tube (1"), Cane Creek S-2 threadless headset (1"), ITM Millenium O/S Stem with the sleeve to fit the 1" steerer, 3TTT Zepp O/S 46cm handlebars and a set of carbon fiber spacers.
Is this something I can do without any special tools or would the LBS be the better option? Specifically, I'm worried about removing the old headset and installing the new headset. Also, how would I cut the steerer tube, once I have settled on the proper height and spacing - with a hacksaw?
Any suggestions? Thanks.

I think that most people would recommend having an LBS at least install the headset using their headset press.
As for the rest, I'd say that anyone with average or better mechanical ability should be able to do it. The only downside that I see is that, if you screw it up, not only would you have hosed some expensive parts, but you would also be confronted with the reality that you have below average mechanical ability.
Oh, and use a hacksaw to cut your steerer tube but use a hose clamp for a saw guide so that you get a nice square cut. If in doubt, make it too long because you can always take another bit off later.

I would get a shop to look at the headset. Watch them do it. Instead of a big tool imagein a long bolt with big washers on either end. Next time build your own headset press and off you go.

Same topic but different area than most seem to focus on here. I got the headset cups and the long bolt/washers to press then on concept but what about the race that goes on the fork? How are people pressing that on and or removing it?
Thanks

I have an old race. I put it on top of the other race and use a hammer to bang it down.
I have been considering buying some pvc with an inner diameter close to the steerer. Make it 10inches long and it would make a great race press.
