I am the director of a newly opened Bike Shop on a University Campus in Ontario. I have been charged with purchasing Tools and potentially parts. The shop is located in Canada which means sites like Bike Nashbar and Performance Bike won't ship here. Also my budget is only around 3,000$ CAN.

Any advice is appreciated.

Have you contacting Park Tools, if you are operating as a shop, you should be looking for a trade not consumer supplier, this should save you a lot of money paying cost not retail prices.

Go to the bike shop wholesale distributors, need to provide your business licenses.
and tax number I presume..

QBP is a Biggie on this side of the border, SBS in Seattle ,
I suppose there are others on the Northern side .. Van BC, Toronto?

Retail thru MEC, seems another source

+1 on contacting Park Tools USA. They might be able to work out a good deal for you thru subsidies, if you are some kinda university campus non-profit.

Bike Tools Etc. (www.biketooletc.com) sells a wide range of bike specific tools and small parts and may have a commercial price list for shops and professional mechanics. They are certainly worth an e-mail to see. You should probably look at normal hardware and industrial supply shops for the non-bike specific tools like allen wrenches, sockets, pliers, screwdrivers, etc.

I prefer Pedro's for tools as their guarantee is better and they are #2 so they try harder. Their prices are also less than Park's.

Park has always replaced any tool that proves defective or even is abused. How much better can a guarantee be?

Park has never let me down, ever.

Their warranty has always been stellar. Just a good company that also supports the cycling community extensively. Proud to support the company with my tool purchases.

And the quality of their tools is very good.
