Anyone heard of these? Are they still prototypes? That would be pretty sweet if they were accurate! http://www.bicycling.com/bikes-gear/2011-bike-and-gear-previews/look-keo-power-pedals

In crashes pedals are one of the things that go pretty damn often. I would be weary of dropping a ton of money on pedals because of that fact, not to mention all the other issue I can image having a power based pedal.

I'm curious to see the inevitable study using a single bike equipped with power pedals, SRM cranks, and Powertap rear wheel. Right now, after using both SRM and Powertap, I'm a fan of SRM, especially because it can record as fast as ever 0.5". For some reason, all other manufacturers are happy with 1", even though it's a simply addition to the firmware to allow for more resolution.

Garmin (http://www.bikeradar.com/news/article/garmin-vector-pedal-power-meter-available-in-2012-31361/) also have something similar but like carleton said, it'd be interesting to see the numbers.

There have been sightings in the wild. Still quite limited and with a high price for a first generation release - RRP in the UK said to be 1499 GPB for the pedals and 1699 GBP with the Polar computer (required as the signal isn’t ANT+).
