I purchased an Sks digital gauge and I believe it's defective as I pumped up my tires a lot where they are very firm and it's reading something like 15.5 psi and such. I even tried to reseat it and it still reads the same. I don't really want to pump it up too much and have the tire burst. Should I get another Sks or go with another brand?

I gave up on digital gauges. Never found one that was accurate.

Hmmm...have you tried to zero out before seating? If so might be defective as my SKS has had zero issues since day one. Reads whatever I throw at it car, bike, whatever.

When you first power on wait until the device "zeros" itself before seating on the stem.

Really don't need it.
