Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hey the Wounded Warrior project soldier ride is coming to San Antonio again this year, Nov 12th. Many of the soldiers on the ride have one or more disablitites and thanks to the WWP adapative cycles or equipment. Come out and ride with us, in some cases see some of the latest adaptive hardware. If nothing else jion the ride and support the WWP and our wounded heros.

I'd love to be there, but I'm on the other side of the planet! I recently ordered a jersey from ride2recovery and donated though! I'm a disabled vet at 80%, and I support Vets!!!

I would, if I lived in Texas, let alone near San Antonio. Also, I don't have a credit card so I can't do an online donation.
There are others around the country all year, not just the TX one.

Rode in and raised money for this project in September near Nashville. The ride took place in mostly rural Williamson County. It's an uplifting and humbling experience. Turns out in all the years it's been held in this area I'm the first entrant to have completed the ride on fixed gear. Who knew? We're assembling a team of fg riders for next year. Starting much earlier it's our intent to raise much more than I was able to w/a week's notice. Some of the adaptations made to bring cycling to those injured was/is nothing short of amazing. And inspiring.
