General Cycling Discussion - Adjustable stem
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Does anyone know who makes an adjustable stem like Specialized (http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bc/SBCEqProduct.jsp?spid=66898) and Felt (http://www.feltbicycles.com/USA/2012/Parts/road/2-1-Alloy-Adjustable-Stem.aspx)?

These are a little different than the example you showed:
A look adjustable stem from wekeepyoucycling.com (http://www.wekeepyoucycling.com/en/showproduct.aspx?ProductID=234&SEName=look-ergostem-hsc-adjustable-stem)
And Amazon has a Sunlite adjustable: (http://www.amazon.com/Sunlite-0%C2%B0-50%C2%B0-Stem-Adjustable-Clamp/dp/B000BMNSPG)
The Look is for oversize bars and the others are for the traditional size.

Ron, I note, those have a minor adjustment thru an eccentric shim. ,
not a large up angle
adjustment like the other posters suggest.
Where? Taiwan, that is the center of Bike manufacturing for the world, now.
Specialized and Felt both go there to have all their stuff made there.
Distributors to the bike businesses, shops, have a variety of options..
Dimension, a QBP brand, is one more. visit your neighborhood Shop.
NB, Nashbar rebrands, and resells, they make none of it.
order enough units and those factories will put your name on it.
I guess I wasn't clear. :o
What I'm looking for is a stem similar in design and function to the ones I mentioned but without the name or logo. Possibly something marketed by Deda, Dimension, Profile Design, Thomson, etc.
I'm experimenting with how much rise I want (0*, -2*, -4*, etc.) without buying several stems.
I can't bring myself to put a Specialized or Felt branded stem on my Litespeed. Just wouldn't look right.

Velo Orange is more into shiny polished stems,
just not eccentric shims on the steerer.
best to figure out where you want the bars to be.
QBP/Salsa makes a fully adjustable test stem, marked out with a scale.
maybe your LBS can be convinced to buy one,
then rent it to let people ride and adjust, and ride again.
and note extension and angle.. then buy a stem ..
