I'm 24, male, closest major city is Toronto.
I have a diet that makes most cringe (Drink Pepsi like most water, incidentally, not fond of water. I eat when it's convenient, not necessarily when I'm hungry or at a specific time. Some days I'll consume 1500 calories, some meals I'll consume more than that.) and I'm mostly okay with it.
I'm about 5'11"/180cm, last I weighed myself I was about 140lbs/63.5kg, my stamina is laughably low.
I recently purchased a K2 Zed 1.3 (http://www.sportchek.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=11133871) to replace some second hand bike I got for 40 bucks (which lasted about as long as you might expect a $40 bike to last - ). I've been riding for a little over 4 months after a more than 10-year dry spell. Only a couple of days ago did it occur to me that I only ever used the 3 highest gears on my 21 speed bike, and that I was doing something wrong, getting totally winded after biking 1.5mi/2.5km with pretty light hills. Having learned that I'm actually supposed to pedal at about 70-100rpm, (As opposed to about the 30 I was doing, while standing and apparently wasting a lot of energy.) after one test run the day I learned that, I decided to challenge myself! I rode 7mi/11.3km in 35:16.
Having learned something that changed the distance I could bike so drastically, I've decided to try to learn more, so I can suck less!
I have no idea how good a cyclist I am, but I'm tempted to go with "Super novice".
tl;dr: Hi.
