Hi,

I have a front basket on my bike so I can't mount a front lamp in the usual place on the handle bars because the basket is in the way. The handle bars are for riding upright so they sweep back towards the seat and putting the lamp near the end of the handle bars doesn't work well because the lamp doesn't point straight ahead. (That's how I have the lamp attached now - it can be seen by cars but it doesn't help me see the road ahead).

What is the typical way to deal with this situation?

Are there any inexpensive lamps or mounting products that you recommend to deal with this?

Thanks very much.

Click Fix has a piece to go on the front edge of their baskets.. ,
DIY ? cutting a piece of 1" Dowel or some pipe ,
and fitting it to the front edge of your basket
lets you use handlebar mount lights up front.

Try a Minoura Beso light mount on a blade of your fork. If you have not yet purchased a light, there are several available (generally, dynamo powered) that mount to the crown of the fork using the same bolt hole used by side-pull brakes and fenders.
