"The 33"-Road Bike Racing - Pro Cycling Discussion

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I wish to discuss pro bike racing as an aged warrior, just like we discussed the NFL as wannabe kid's. But I refuse to spend another moment listening to noob's tell me why Cav is not that great, or The Tour is what counts, or how PED's ruined everything.
Any possibility of the 33 allowing pro race discussions again?

First you point out how discussions about pro racing tend to lead to disaster
... then you are asking to allow them here?
Are you awake yet?
"kids" and "noobs" are just plural words btw ... PED's is another matter ;)

I'd love to have the discussion contained to one thread here in the 33.

As a thread or threads, no from this mod. The 217 was created to get the 217's out of the 33, where they would 217 any pro racing thread then wander into other areas where they were even less aware of what they were talking about. Sort of like letting a kid with a hammer loose in a statuary store.
If some pro racing discussion happens in the "twitter" feed, the mods (well, some of us) look the other way for the most part.
The intent of my thread was to say I'm not enjoying the 217 and refuse to play in that yard anymore.
Would prefer to be over here discussing the merits of why De Ronde changed their route, rather than trying to explain to beginner's what the heck Ronde means.
And yes, something peed in my Golden Crisp's. Age.

I changed the thread title to something that didn't bash the other forum for now.

And I wasn't bashing the other forum, I was stating the historical basis for it's creation. People in the 33 were complaining. This does not mean they were right or wrong.

And yes, something peed in my Fiber One. Age.
Fixed for me.
For what it's not worth, I had no idea they changed routes of some stuff until I got the DVD. "The new climb in Paris Roubaix..." Wait, they use a small ring now?!

why must this sub forum be so unbelievably OCD about its threads?
twitter feed. music thread. geek thread. food thread. race report thread. etc. etc. etc.

I'd be ok with pro racing talk in this forum, provided that all posters must provide proof that they currently hold a valid UCI Elite license.
