Serial number is the best way to look it up. Just go with that.

Funny as soon as I saw it I screamed Dyno VFR but my old Dyno had different chain stays and no bottom gusset. On closer inspection it looks like an early 90's Diamondback Viper or Super Viper. Is there a stamp on the rear dropouts. For looks bent or reversed. I'd say a viper with the short top tube. Check out BMX museum those guys are really good. Give them several good pics you'll know within 24 hours.

Just look up your SN on BMX museum. That'll make your whole process a lot shorter

Looks like an '80s Redline. Can you post detailed shots of the gusset, fork, and dropouts?

The full chrome ids it as most likely a mid 80's bike. The frame looks a lot like a Laser Lite I used to own.

This needs to be moved to C&V. They know everything about older bikes. They can usually ID a bike/frame from just one or two pictures.

Redlines in the 80s started with RJ, R* etc and in the 90's they were AC*. I know for sure because I rode a 92 RL 240B I ordered from Albe's as my campus bike. LaserLites did not have a chain stay brace after the BB. That looks like one peeping out behind the last horizontal tooth. You need to post better pics of the gussett, the bb and the rear and fork drop outs. The fork drop out screams 80's but its definitely a 90s DB Viper. That fork is way unique. Thats the only thing throwing me off from a Viper.

Well it seems like it`s made by Akisu usually majority of their frames were stamped DSBM in Taiwan.
They made frames for a lot of bmx companies , higher end and also department store, some higher ends were redline, CW, Norco and a few more.
Your`s might be an 1986 made in February, I`m pretty sure it might not be a diamondback since most DB`S had
Diamond cut out`s on the rear and front gussets.
It does resemble a redline

It does look like an 86 Redline RL-20a same gussett but the lack of a chainstay brace rules that out. RL-20 Prostyler had stay stands. Maybe it was an Akisu for a department store bike like Pitbull suggested. Its not a diamond back for sure either. 90's DB's had stamps on dropouts and 80's Db's had diamond gusset. I'm clueless. Just ride it and enjoy it.
