I just got in my Bike rag and thought I'd check in around here ;)

I was looking at this Scott hardtail that's supposed to be the lightest production hardtail at 19 LBS!

Anyway... hope everyone is well! Perhaps Samdabikinman will show up in this thread sometime ;)

Nice to see ya again. Haven't seen Sam around much and A2 has been on sporatically :)...

Sam is probably busy! Between his Bike, Jeep, and family, he's got his hands full! I've been busy lately, but unfortunately haven't been riding lately. Last week I sprained a muscle in my back and I don't think it would be a wise idea to ride until I'm fully healed. So for now I'm popping muscle relaxers and pain pills and virtually riding ;)

Dang good luck with that :)...glad...enjoy the pills :)

Really the pills don't do much for me. I still hurt. They just make me tired and lethargic. That, coupled with my usual laziness, equals me not riding. Maybe I'll work a ride in this weekend and ride my full squishy around the block, or the trails if I feel comfortable.

Funny thing is I actually miss snow and ice...
I used to get my "winter fix" during Hockey season as you may know that hasn't happened yet. <grumble>

We get some decently cold weather up here in TN.. I'd much prefer the Florida weather though. I find cold weather to be more annoying than it's worth. Give me 70-80 degree weather anyday. Screw the cold!

Maelstrom, would you do it to live in colorado (with all expenses paid and a permanent residence there automatically, so all your stuff is transfered your house is sold ...etc.)? :D Mr.Ihatethesnow.

I'll just have to deal with the cold in N.C. it's way to flat in Fla. O.K. to visit there but I get home sick for the mtns. It would be hard to winter in the frozen north, you guys have my respect fer sure!

What do you mean by that? I'm using his post as the example.

Yeah but I won't give my left nut :) Besides not many people would want it. It was sacrificed as a kid in a gang fight. And I sure don't wannt give up my other nut :)

Its 26 degrees with 2 ft of snow...I think I will go make a snowman :D

Jim311

I like the snow now and then. But I couldn't stand living in it for several months of the year. Although snow jumps are cool :D

Maelstrom
12-05-04, 11:10 AM
Yeah I know a spot where we have jumps built already (5 or 6 in a row)...I might just go build those up and get some biking down. Problem is, its pretty steep dh for snow and at the end of it is a sharp turn right OR you end up in a river hahaa

I lived with it for 18 years I'd STILL go back. Hell I took my driving test on unplowed streets with over a foot of snow on them. Winter doesn't intimadate me in the slightest.

Da Nut checking in.

Rode my CX on Saturday. Beautiful morning ride. Temps in the mid 60's, barely a cloud in the sky.

Went Mtn biking on Sun. Headed up to Carter Road Park in Mulberry (Lakeland area), rode around for about 2 hrs. Was nursing a major hangover. Must've gotten into a bar fight with this guy named Captain Morgan because I woke up Sun. all beat up and feeling like ..... Anyway, the ride cleared my head.

Might be heading up to Santos/Razorback area the week after Christmas for a camping trip. Maybe 2 or 3 days of riding!

Jim,(or anyone else) if you want to hook up, let me know!
