Had a Doctor's appointment this afternoon; got some really great news; I no longer have to do med's for HBP or Diabetes!!!! Funny what losing 112 ugly pounds will do for you!!!!!! I have been on the HBP meds (actually been on two different till I stopped one) for 12 years and the Diabetes med for at least 5 years; I was also on Cholestoral meds which I stopped when I had enough of the leg pain side effect -- I was walking 3 to 5 miles a day at the time!! This is due to the lifestyle changes I have made over the last two years!! If you can't tell I am VERY HAPPY!! The hard work has PAID OFF!! You know weight loss is simple; as some one else on this forum said
Eat less
Eat more healthy
Move more
The only thing I would add is: Log what you eat and stop when your calorie allotment is reached!!!!!!!

That's awesome! Just the encouragement I need. I'd love to be able to get off the HBP and diabetes meds too!

Way to go! My doc recently cut my BP med in half, and eliminated the cholesterol med completely, for a six week trial period. I'll find out the results just before Thanksgiving.

Keep track of you BGL and keep in touch with your doc. I was actually surprized that the diabetes/high BGL went away with the 122 pound lose!

Incredible news! Kansas eh? Which part? I spent time in Manhattan, Medicine .Lodge and Lincoln? Southeast corner. Parsons.
