Electric Bikes - Cyclone Motor & Surly Big Dummy?

Does anyone here know if a cyclone motor is compatible with the Surly Big Dummy? I ask because I am concerned that the long chain might be a problem though, I am pretty confident it should work just fine.

Will a, "Bikes-at-work", trailer hitch fit on a Surly Big Dummy?

i had a cyclone system for a while. the motor controller died and i replaced it with another one that died soon afterwards. (the controller is bolted on to the inside of the motor housing). This year i got back to e-biking with a hub motor.

As far as being able to run it with a long chain, i wouldn't expect that to be an issue. a longer chain means less left-right angle to the chain as you shift gears, therefore i would expect fewer problems with the chain jumping off the chainring (on a regular bike, i didn't have a problem with that after I properly adjusted my cyclone kit).

i heard that people experienced problems with the "chainring freewheel" setup. When i had a cyclone kit i avoided that entirely by using a regular chainring -- i didn't mind that i therefore had to always pedal if the motor was running.

I use a Bikes at Work trailer hitch on my Xtracycle but if you are going to use Wideloaders ever, have Bikes at Work make a tongue a little longer than normal, they should know what you mean since I've talked to them about this, because the trailer just rubs on the Wideloader if you get the standard length tongue.
