Thank God an accident did not occur when I witnessed a trike break loose off of what seemed like a rear trunk rack of a black sedan early this morning on the northbound 101/Hollywood Freeway just north of downtown L.A. This happened about 40 yards in front of me. Traffic was light and moving at 65 mph but all lanes were occupied. The trike rolled a couple of times, ended upright, and proceeded to coast another seemed like 50 yards, crossing all lanes of the freeway before coming to a stop in the fast lane. All traffic came to a halt as the guy in the black sedan was able to cross all four lanes and managed to stop right in front of his trike. I was in the slow lane and after making sure everyone was safe and the guy was able to retrieve his trike safely, I proceeded to continue on. It wasn't a pretty sight. Hope the trike did not sustain heavy damage.
