Electric Bikes - Would you review your electric bike for $10?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi everyone,
I'm working to start a website that helps people learn more about the pros and cons of different electric bikes by providing them with reviews of various models by existing users.
Since there many ebike users on this forum, I wanted to reach out and ask for feedback as well. If you've purchased an electric bike over the last year or two, would you be interested in writing a short review sharing your experience, along with pros and cons of that bike?
To cover your time, I will also pay $10 for the review. It would be greatly appreciated - not to mention helpful to others who may be considering the same bike that you have.
Let me know if you're interested and I'd be happy to provide details on the next step.

I guess the question is, how much will you charge others to read our reviews...
I can write review, you can count me in.
I give you permission to copy my reviews on this forum to your forum.
Others like those at TF Google forum just copy my posts just like this.

Other people would not be charged for reading the reviews - they will be posted on a free site where everybody can read and add their own reviews at no charge. I just wanted to get a first batch of 30-40 reviews before the site is launched, so there is pre-existing content.

Fantastic. I'll send you a PM with details in a few.
Wrote PM to you,
I cannot do it if my name, address, email address etc. is required
no way.
Why do you need personal data to review any product ?
Do you want to collect data or bicycle review?

Hi there,
No problem. The address is not asked or required - just the general City, State to get an idea of where the bike is used. People may have different needs for a bike in SF versus Chicago. But if you don't feel comfortable with that, no problem.
Name and email is required, however, to ensure that the reviews are legitimate. Email won't be posted anywhere, of course. However, since you've been a long time member on the forum, you can just include your name and that'd be fine.

I am also a web developer. If you would like me to read through your site and give you critical feedback (maybe you can do the same thing for me on one of my sites in the future) send me a message.
Your idea sounds like a great one. I'll be very much looking forward to seeing it live!

I think its probably because a growing number of reviews on review-carrying websites are fake and often, posted by the manufacturers or by people in their employ to "increase viral marketing buzz" etc..
That is a serious problem for someone who wants to run a legit site, how can you tell who the actual users are, and who are the viral marketers?? The same problem exists for many kinds of sites, but its implications are the worst with political sites, because a growing number of "citizens" are actually paid bloggers who push one viewpoint or another and try to influence the general public. They both start threads and more often, run specialized queries looking for blog threads that use certain words, and then they join them.
Often its simply to express one (paid) preference over another. The reason being that study after studies show that people will often vote based on what they think other people are doing. Its very sophisticated game they are playing, on a massive, national scale.
The rest of us might not be aware of this kind influence on them, but its real. Of course with products, if you buy a product that you read is good and it turns out to not be, you may never trust that site again.

I just sold my electric bike, could I still write a review of it? I sold the bike to a co-worker, so I could get pictures if required.
