I have headlights on my touring bike.They used to be mounted directly on the fork with a clamp.They would slip down every once in awhile because the fork is tapered.
So to get rid of the problem,I decided to make mounts for them that attached to my front rack.

No more slipping:

I had a braze on added to my Gordon lowrider on the hoop, It works OK, too..
recently took off the wired battery light, put one of Paul's 'Gino' mounts on, since LED battery lights have adequate run time for summer touring season, when the daylight is long.

a manner of adding something onto the front bolt ,
or to fit one of those P clips up the Hoop would do as well,

but I guess booger has discovered the coping saw...

I found the coping saw when I was cleaning under the vertical mill....:)

Lacking a machine shop I have to use hand tools.

my father took his home machine-shop to the grave with him.
