Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have headlights on my touring bike. They used to be mounted directly on the fork with a clamp. They would slip down every once in awhile because the fork is tapered.
So to get rid of the problem,I decided to make mounts for them that attached to my front rack.
No more slipping:

I had a braze on added to my Gordon lowrider on the hoop, It works OK, too..
recently took off the wired battery light, put one of Paul's 'Gino' mounts on, since LED battery lights have adequate run time for summer touring season, when the daylight is long.
a manner of adding something onto the front bolt ,
or to fit one of those P clips up the Hoop would do as well,
but I guess booger has discovered the coping saw...

Lacking a machine shop I have to use hand tools.
