Fifty Plus (50+) - Most logos/ manufacturers name on a frame?

Count 'em up. Who's bike says "Trek, Cannondale, Specialized" the most on one bike? Was looking at my friend's bike a couple weeks ago and it must have had the manufacturers name on it at least 7 times.
Not saying I don't like it, not saying I do. Just interested.

14 on my SL2 Tarmac when I had it.

Wow! Could have shaved 1/2 lb off it by removing them. LOL.

My sister-in-law takes all the manufacturer's decals off and replaces them with humorous/political/environmental stickers. Her bike looks like some kits I have seen, only with different content.

My friends Orbea had about 13 that said "Orbea"

Typical count on my LeMonds is "LeMond" just six times, not counting the head badge. I consider them tastefully understated.

No decal's on my Indy Fab, just head badge.

Just head badges on my bikes. Can't believe anyone would think all that advertising looks good. Now if the manufacturer wants to cut a deal (advertising in exchange for reduced price) I'd be willing to listen, but paying top prices AND doing advertising, no way.

To me, my 09 Defy was tastefully done and I have no issues with it. The word Giant appears in large letters on the down-tube, and in much smaller letters on the fork and seat stays and on the seat post. The word Defy appears on the chain stays and in small letters on the top-tube and only an outline of the word on the seat-tube showing the colors of the bike through it. As for the warning and other insignificant stickers, they have all been removed from the bike, except the one with the serial number on it, even though it is stamped on the bottom of the BB.

I don't mind having the manufacturer's name and model on the bike if it is not overdone, but lately, you can't seem to find a spot on the bike that doesn't have their name written on it. And with many of them, the decals are placed there before they spray on the clear coat, so removing them messes up the bike unless you refinish it.

Saw a Trek earlier this year, and I figured all the logos and the name Trek all over it, was to save the cost of paint.... If you look at the classic bicycles of the 60's and 70's most manufacturers had the name on the downtube and maybe a logo on the seat tube and that was it. Some would add a couple of pantographs, or fork logos, but that was considered a lot at the time....

I agree. With the SL2 Specialized went completely overboard.

Big money in pro racing, along with telephoto lenses and HD TV has caused logos to show up everywhere a lens is likely to look. More advertising for the sponsors. Look at all the logos on a NASCAR machine. Even logos where the in-cab TV monitor points.

If I could take 'em off my trek, I would, but they are either painted on, or stickers under the clear coat. I'm an avid sticker remover. Anything that can come off, comes off.

Sometimes there is so much advertising that it just disappears and looks like a lot of bright graffiti.

My Alex Moulton has only the metal head badge - but then a Moulton (http://www.moultonbicycles.co.uk/) would never be mistaken for any other bike.

My '72 Bob Jackson tandem was boldly decaled "BOB JACKSON" in six places and drew quite a few questions/comments back in the day about the tastefulness of that.

Yep. BTW, my Orbea has the mfr's name or logo 13 times on the frame, fork, shifter cable stop and seatpost collar (!). And it's pretty tasteful compared to other brands. I'm not even going to START counting the "Shimano"s on the 105 group...

Think there is a frame in there somewhere.

My DaHon Curve commute bike just has "DaHon" twice (on either side of the top tube) and "Curve SL" twice (on either side of the seat stays).
