I wanted something vintage.
I think this may do!

Pretty good, but in my mind vintage really requires non-aero brakes, where the cables come out of the top of the hoods, like bug antennae.

ok, I guess! I would have thought 20 years was a vintage.
Hmm...learn something everyday!

The bike is a 1991 NOS, with NOS correct C-record including delta brakes.

I likes it.

That is certainly more vintage than some of the stuff on the C&V forum. In 1983 I ran my brake cables backwards and under the tape for an aero look.

Very nice ride. I don't think vintage is too far of a stretch on that one.

Don't pay any attention to what I say. I was being a smart-a$$.

Love the old Corsa Extra's, they have such a wonderful smooth feel to them.. I have a couple of them, this is the last one I bought, very similar to yours, minus the decals.. The previous owner had it powder coated plain with no decals. When I get a chance will have it re-painted and decaled correctly..

Find out more info about your Merckx with the serial number on the BB shell

Thanks, Mine is a 91 and NOS.

If I lived in Cali, I would call Cycleart about re-doing a Merckx!
I love his work! Good Luck!

Cycleart does do great work but it would cost as much to paint it as it did for me to buy it, if I used them for the re-paint.. I priced a re-paint from them and it was 600.00 +, I would rather buy another vintage bike for that price..

Very nice! Your other bikes will be getting lonely soon!
