Electric Bikes - Has anyone heard of chicagoelectricbicycles.com or AllCell Technologies in Chicago

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Has anyone heard of chicagoelectricbicycles.com or AllCell Technologies in Chicago. They have some really good LiNMC for sale and say they are better then Pingbattery. Im looking for a battery for next year and thinking about the 48v/24ah for $1,300. Much more expensive then Ping, but they say its lighter and better.

Run away from them..
I bought a "slightly used" 36v 20ah battery that doesn't even give 10AH..
They SUCK!!!
P.S. I use them on a 15a MAX controller... I only run about 8a continuous, so it's barely .5C
Horrible sellers
The allcell packs are made with high capacity but low discharge rate 18650 cells, this means they work ok if use them on setups that do not demand high power.. a 48v 20ah pack would be suitable for a 20 amp controller but no more than that or the voltage will sag really badly..
There are better places to get lithium packs from for the money.

I bought a 48v 12 Ah pack from them about a month ago, as a replacement to a NiMh pack of the same capacity. So far it has worked fine. I bought it through their Amazon marketplace store, so I would have some recourse if problems developed. Someone from their company (or so it seems) posts on Endless-sphere about AllCell (http://www.endless-sphere.com/forums/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=19797)

The question is, do you have a watt meter to test the actual AHs of the battery..
And if you do, what was the max you've gotten out of it.

I saw this thread and wanted to reply.. I bought a 36 volt battery from their website and it works great. I have been using it daily for about 4 months now. Sangesf I don't even see a 20ah pack on their website. Are u sure its from them?
Their batteries are priced higher than the ones made in china, but is a better product in my opinion.
