Hello fellow cyclists, I am a father of 3 and well into my 40's. I have just recently taken up road biking again after stopping for 17 years. Although my old chromoly bike is still intact, it is mostly rusty already and am not sure if it still is worth restoring. I got myself a 2011 Orbea Onix instead. It handles well and am very happy with it so far.
I recently found a group to ride with and have been doing long rides during weekends. I've also recently joined my first crit race, an 85km 4-lap race (w/ 4 ascents up a small mountain). I was very happy that i was able to finish the race, considering that a number of riders did not finish.
Am happy to be back and I look forward to many more miles of riding around the country side. I'm sure I will learn a lot from the Bike Forums community.
