Holy god. Seven lent us a Mudhoney built up for cross and my boss let me race it this Saturday at the New England Verge Championships in RI. Holy god. I will never diss Ti again. That said I will also never drink a bottle of Jack Daniels the night before I race nor will I ever let myself only sleep one hour on a pre-race night. I got to the line and got the 'rich kid' glare because of my bike, then people realized I was still wearing make up from the night before (I had good reason to drink a whole bottle I swear) and my bibs were hanging out of my jersey. Better yet after burping Jack on the line I puked half way through the race, and managed to crash badly enough that the wheel and bars were definently not pointed in the same direction. That I somehow managed 8th in the C race worries me a bit, but I'll take it.
Also the mens pro race was one of the best races I've witnessed in a long time, Jesse Anthony and Jeremy Powers were going at it the whole race, and McCormack was just plain evil. Great stuff.
