Having trouble finding the "sweet spot" set up for my Fluid 2...either my tire slips or spinning will seem like riding through molasses. Is it normal to only shift once or twice for INTENSE workloads? Any suggestions would help.

I haven't had those problems. Anything odd about your tires?

Should be just tight enough that your wheel doesnt slip when you give the pedal a brisk short stomp but light enough that it does not give much resistance when you are just spinning. Make sure you are using a road tire for best results.

As to shifting more than once or twice per session, it depends on what you are doing. If you are following a training video, you will shift often especially when doing intervals. If you are simply trying to achieve a certain heart rate with a goal of holding it there for a certain period of time then obviously you will not have to shift.

I have found that 1.5 turns of the adjuster, after contact with the tire, works good for me. Although, the cycleops website says 3. It seems like a little too much.
