The guy spent a whole lot of time and effort to build a truly unique bike and then adorned it with a Performance Bike saddle and stem.

Great. He's addressed the rust and corrosion problem of steel bikes. But what's he going to do about termites???

I wonder how he joined the top of the seat tube to the down tube. His geometry is such that the top tube can easily have in excess of 1000 pounds of force in tension and MUCH more as an instantaneous impact load. I've always used metal fasteners working in shear for that type load. Can a glue joint involving only surface fibers reliably generate that much unit stress?
Saw a home built bamboo bike yesterday, the builder made his joints using manila twine and then saturating the twine and bamboo at the joint in fiberglass epoxy. It looked substantial.
