I started biking a year ago as I grew frustrated with the public transportation system in Boston. Some bumps in the road along the way but I've enjoyed my commute of 15 mi/day thus far. Looking forward to gaining knowledge from this community!

Welcome, and, GO SOX. Grew up as a kid in Shelburne Falls, Mass, most beautiful countryside in the U.S., parents moved us to S.Fl. while I was in highschool back in 1972. Always wanted to return but life gets in the way.

Thanks everyone…I was enjoying my Trek 7.3 FX – until it was stolen off my porch (poor lockdown on my part). I took this opportunity to then upgrade to a Specialized Secteur Elite (thank you renter's insurance!), which I have been very happy with.

Besides that I have a Rockhopper comp which didn't see much use last year, and a beefy K2 downhill bomber which I bought 2nd hand years ago and rode it only a few times before getting the Rockhopper!

I am thinking of test driving a San Jose or similar at my LBS to see what the freewheelie's like…thinking I additionally want something more maintenance free for the coming winter.
