www.RoadBikeRider.com looks like a promising site for tips, resources and opinion. Of course, they'll never hold candle to Bikeforums :)
I read somewhere that Pavelka and Matheny, the site's founders, are former Bicycling magazine editors.

I've been a subscriber since the beginning. At first it was a great resource. Lately it's become a way for them to advertise their ebooks. They still have some good stuff, but it's definitely taking a back seat.

i've subscribed to their site to get weekly blurbs since their beginning. really nice guys. if you e-mail them a question, they will answer you. i feel like i know them since i read them back when bicycling magazine used to be an option.

RoadBikeRider is heavily biased from a racer's point of view. If you are a racer you will love it. But if you are (like me) a casual cyclist who rides for pleasure (mostly day touring) then RoadBikeRider has nothing to offer.

Thanks for the site.I will give it a try.I'm a casual rider but I still learn tips from pros that help.Using your stomach like a third lung was the best advice I ever got from Bicycling Pro Tips.I don't rocket over hills like Lance, but at least I make it most times:D ...KC

Its just breathing deep and pulling air down into your belly. You know your doing it right if your belly balloons like a bullfrog.Simple but gives your body extra oxygen!Hope it helps ya...KC

Welllll, just a wee bit of physiological clarification. Technically, you are not actually taking air into your stomach. By letting your stomach balloon you are really doing a couple of things 1) making more space for your diaphragm to expand into and 2) bringing the abdominal muscles into use to assist in the process. All of the air is still going into your lungs. Another tip is to force a little extra air out when you exhale. Your diaphragm is more efficient at inhaling than exhaling. Forcing air out makes more room for fresh air coming in.

Air in the stomach is bad plan. It seems one can never burp out all the air in there and the result is a sick sensation for a few hours.
