Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - Trainer is here and picked up a HRM

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I ordered a indoor trainer last week. It showed up yesterday. I got it on Amazon for $50 I was a little hesitant at what the quality might be but it looks and feels pretty darn sturdy. I know it is a lot louder than others I have seen but I can live with the noise. I also found a HRM at Dicks Sporting Goods yesterday that I got a great deal on. So let the indoor training begin. I will still be riding outdoors as well though too.

What kind of trainer did u get? When you say noise.... can you compare it to something?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VW6RBK/ref=ox_ya_os_product is the one I got. Its pretty nice. A lot more sturdy than I thought it would be for the price. As for the sound I think a lot of it is resonance from the hardwood floor. I am going to pick up a foam pad to put under it I think that will cut down on the noise quite a bit.

Ohhh I was looking at that trainer myself for a while, nice score! I got lucky though and got one of these http://s.wiggle.co.uk/images/minoura-mi415vfs3r7.jpg at the dump for 10 bucks instead... I'd suggest you get a carpet scrap to put over the foam pad if your going that route might help keep it from slipping on the foam... I personally have mine setup in a room with a fairly thick carpet, so it only gets annoying when I start hauling ass and the second system kicks in and by then I got the ipod blasting loud enough to not pay attention..
